When is Powder Horn?
Powder Horn is a course designed around two 3-day
weekends.
The last course covered
April 18 - 20, 2008 and May 2 - 4, 2008
We recommended arriving Thursday evening (April 17 and
May 1) for both sessions
to be ready for the early start on April 18 and May 2.
April 18 - 20, 2008
This course began with a check-in on Thursday evening April 17
to familiarize with the facilities, update the required physical
check and be ready early morning Friday when the course experience
begins. The first half of the course begins at Slippery Falls
Scout Ranch, the Last Frontier Council's premier camp for exploring
the high adventure experience.
May 2 - 4, 2008
Powder Horn continued on this weekend beginning the second half of
the course. Participants explored the new Diamond H Scout Ranch in a
backpacking overnight adventure and loads of fun in the new camp
conference center.
